24 hours of doodling, sketching, scribbling, and scrawling. Starting Friday night at 8pm and continuing for a full 24 hours, a handful of friends and I will be drawing on some very large sheets of paper at the downtown Arts Block in one of the most creative gallery openings that I have ever seen.
There is more info about the Drawathon as well as the rest of the fantastic art that will be being displayed on the walls at the Brantford Arts Block
website as well as the Facebook
event page. Hope to see you there!
The skateboard / urban art gallery opening was really cool. The rain chased away a larger crowd, but it ended up being a nice relaxed time talking with some old and new friends. All the skateboards are being sold in a silent auction that will continue throughout the next few weeks. Every single one is really well done. Incredible artistic quality and diversity.
The exhibition featured artwork by local artist Sam Bradley. Sam worked on a large graffiti installation and exhibited a few incredibly painted skateboards. Most of Sam's artistic output is in the realm of animation, creating some really imaginative background and concept illustrations.
